Kool Diggs has taken their work with shelters and rescues to a new level!
We here at Kool Diggs take pleasure in announcing that we are participating in the Foster program at Wanderers' Rest Humane Association (WRHA). Occassionally, WRHA receives a dog that has had little formal training, a tough life on the streets, or just a neglected home. At Kool Diggs we are doing our part by taking in such dogs and working with them to give them the manners and socialization needed to go to a good home.
Our first foster dog, Hannah, was a huge success. After being adopted and surrendered severa timesl, this beautiful 7 year old Lab mix finally found a good home! By working with her outside of the kennel, we were able to lessen her stresses and introduce her to a loving family.
Our most recent foster dog, Red, is another example of how a little bit of stability and routine can go a long way. Red was a little bit skittish when he joined us, and now he's just like a big cuddly teddy bear. Thanks to the hard work of both Wanderers' Rest Volunteers and the Staff a Kool Diggs, Red has been adopted by a loving family!!

About the Owners
Stan and Donna Shane have been working in the pet industry for the past 7 years. Having been loving pet owners all of their lives, they knew that working with pets was the next logical step. Donna is a certified obedience trainer and both she and Stan regularly attend workshops to stay on top of new technologies, theories, and practices in the world of animal behavior. They continue to support and work closely with Wanderer’s Rest and the Rome Humane Society.
